Arlette Braman’s School Visit Information

I love doing school visits and really enjoy spending the day with all the students. My presentations are listed below, but I am flexible to tailor them to fit your needs. My visits usually include a large group presentation with classroom visits, where we do an activity or cooking project from one of my books.

1. Cultural Awareness and Tolerance
This large group computer presentation includes information about waves of immigration to America, the Melting Pot Theory, America today, cultural understanding through art, cooking, and play. I show and discuss cultural artifacts throughout the presentation.
2. Understanding Native Americans
Highlights of this large group computer presentation include Native American history you didn't learn in school, understanding Native American beliefs, awareness of Native American life through their art, and my travels to the reservations and Native communities. I show and discuss Native American artifacts throughout the presentation.

3. Secrets of Ancient Cultures
In this large group computer presentation I discuss the history of the Maya and Inca, the beliefs and way of life of these fascinating ancient cultures, artifacts of the people, and my travels to the ancient Maya ruins in Cozumel and Belize. Mayan and Inca artifacts are shown and discussed throughout the presentation.

Fees/Expenses
My daily rate is 800.00 and you may choose from large group presentations to smaller classroom visits or a combination of both. I'm yours for the day, so it's up to you how you would like me to spend the day with your students.
Travel expenses are additional and these include mileage (driving), tolls, fares(if applicable), meals, and lodging (if applicable).
Payment
Reimbursement for travel expenses may be paid after the event when I hand in receipts at a later date. I do expect my fee to be paid on delivery of services. If you need to send me any paperwork to fill out, please do so prior to my visit.
